Shlosha Kesorim - Sheya Rubenstein

Here's a man with a surprisingly pleasant voice for someone with an unbearably irritating voice. Paradoxically speaking.

The short story: A Yossi Green creation (ie, YG created him and composed his stuff). I love this song for Green's way of choosing lyrics that are not only obscure (these aren't necessarily) but that have been sliced-and-diced to extract a serious message that just freakin' WORKS with the tune and the and the and the arrangements and like, vocals. It just WORKS! And then Green injects a bunch of Greenitude into the later part of the song. Which I like.

Yossi Green only composed it, he didn't find this singer, produce the track, and only has 3 songs on the rest of the CD. (Green's other two tracks on the disc are not great, let's leave it at that. One is even a rip off of an older song he did with Dudu Fisher and rips off 10 other Jewish march songs.)

This is probably the best song on the CD, and with someone who actually has a voice this song could have been huge.

Nu, so I lied.

But seriously, thanks for the comment. I've been listening to the CD through the office music stream so I don't actually know who composed what or why... I just figured there's a lot of Greenitude in this song > There's a TON of Greenitude in "Tick Tock" > Green tends to create singers on a fairly regular basis > No one on this blog has ever heard the CD > Or cares to > Everyone on this blog would have heart attacks if I'd posted "Ba'avur Dovid" - not sure which song is a Dudu ripoff, but THAT ain't a Green composition! :) > "Pleasant" was probably the wrong word > "Irritating" was not. > Someone in the office said "It sounds like YG composed this song to make himself sound good. Is there a word for that? > Ber said "Shameless plug." > Hi Peretz.
