There is much that isn't right with this post. There is time that isn't much to spend expressing it. Is "insipid" the correct word to describe the sound? Ber asks. Maybe. "Insipid" means "lacking flavor". I think this just lacks taste. I love it.



The intro is a cover of Nothing Else Matters and they--get this--called it "Yuffing Else Matters!" Blaaaaahhhurghhhhghh!!! Ehhhhhhh!!! Buuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh....llurghhh. Can The Oatmeal provide a fitting interjection for me, please?

This post is also to prove that our blog is capable of observing the ancient practice of musicless sefira, but won't because our rabbinic overseers consider it a simple oversight.

Toods and I had been told it was unsafe to drive in the Dominican Republic and we'd mostly realized it was unsafe to drive the vehicle we had. So the baker baked us baguettes and the maid made sandwiches and we drove and we didn't really know how long we'd be on the road and we hoped that we would not get stuck on the road because we'd been told it wasn't safe. It was Tuesday morning and we planned to be back for Shabbos and we were stuck in the first hour of driving in a political protest involving burning palm trees and rubber and boulders in the road and an Evangelical priest. Images provided. Captions below.

In the end, we drove a cumulative 1,000 miles and we had a single cassette with us—this cassette—for a cumulative 1,000 miles of driving. Now Toods and I don't speak anymore. We just nod with glazed eyes and sing "Misimoil umiYOmin al yisroel Sholom..."


Our first day of driving:
1) Lunch. 2) Stuck. 3) Help. 4) Moving. 5) Wow.

Who do you think is most under appreciated singer/musician/band/choir?

Sholomo Simcha: I think it's pretty obvious that this guy can sing, yet no one seems to take notice.

Tzlil V'zemer: These kids are like the Mets to the Miami Boys Choir Yankees.

Chaim Yisroel: Malachim is a kick ass song!

Yeedle: Never lived up to being BMD's son, but still has a lot to offer.
