Interesting that this song which propelled AF to the top of the charts back in '81 was first sung on Kol Salonika V, the Shabbos Songs album.

I lived through that era. His first album had 3 hit songs, The Return, No Jew Will Be Left Behind and this one. Since this was the only hebrew song of the 3, it was the top player at Chassunahs and Simchaos.

No, there were no CHARTS, but you know what I mean.

I believe that Kanei, also on that first album was taken from Rabbi Y. Alster's famous Yedid Nefesh. Kel Hahodaos is probably a Boruch Chait composition.
