Also, it probably sounds familiar because it is one of the most widely sung "chassidishe piyut" anywhere and falls behind only the Modzitzer Kol Mekadesh, which was corrected as the Modzitzer Omar Hashem l'Yaakov but which I will always associate with Kol Mekadesh and Mimkomcha. That could be why it sounds familiar.

Methinks it's actually Belz, for some reason... but it would make sense that it's an original Karliner melody. Ya znayu...
