To apologize for the past without pledging to change is just another, more sinister form of wrong. To return, a changed person, without apologizing for the past is at worst an unfinished journey. This is why the ערי מקלט, though open to everybody, were only built inside Eretz Yisroel: it is one thing to live a life of חוץ if, when the time is ripe to run, you run to Eretz Yisroel. It is quite another thing to "return" to the same barren desert.
I love this song, thank you so much for posting it. Can you please post "no Jew will be left behind" ? I've been looking for it and can't find it anywhere..
ReplyDeleteIf anyone sees (*echo* sees, sees *echo*) this comment, who was the composer of this song?
ReplyDeleteYour comment has been seen. :) The tune was composed by Yossi Green and the lyrics may have been as well; there's also something telling me the lyrics were Dina Storch... dunno.
ReplyDeleteGut moed!
